OUR SOB STORY

IVF sucks.

Most everyone going through IVF has a sob story. There’s no winner in this race – no reason to compare wounds – and no story that hurts more than your own. But, if you’d like to read mine, I offer it up in a few different formats.

My short story, I had a failed IUI, Successful IVF with miscarriage, IVF with no viable eggs, and we drained our finances trying. With lots of heart break along the way, we found our solution and now have 2 beautiful children. Then I became an IVF advocate and consultation and saw the need to start My Baby Abroad. I’m here to help you achieve your family goal.

When to Travel for IVF

Find Your Clinic

There are a lot to choose from. Narrow it down to a couple and set up a virtual consultation with the doctor. If you need help narrowing it down, reach out to our good friend, Anna, at AboutIVF.com. She is an expert in her field and can let you know which clinic is best for your needs.

Here or There

You’ll need to get scans and medication, as requested by your clinic. You can either arrange for these to be done locally or at the clinic abroad. Both choices have pros and cons. Discussing with My Baby Abroad will help you make the best informed decision.

The Cycle Wait

An IVF ‘cycle’ begins with the first day of your period (a bright red bleed). As part of your fertility plan, you might start medication or injections before the first day of your cycle. The first day of your period is known as “Day 1”.

There is a travel sweet spot with IVF. Let our experience guide you in the process. Arriving too soon or late can put your treatment at risk.

Check your passport – it’s important to verify the expiration date of your passport is 6 months AFTER your return or you may get denied entry at border patrol or customs.

Travel Day

It’s exciting and terrifying. Gather your itinerary, passport, and necessities and head to the airport. With My Baby Abroad, all the details are worked out and you just sit back and concentrate on yourself.

Destination

My Baby Abroad can set up an airport pick-up to deliver you to your accommodations. We can even arrange for a car service to take you to and from each appointment. IVF travelers can enjoy the destination by visiting local attractions or take a tour.

Just the facts

My Baby Abroad is certified to sell travel by the state of Texas and I comply with all Seller of Travel laws, which are regulated by each state.

A “seller of travel” is any resident or nonresident person, firm, corporation or business entity that offers for sale, directly or indirectly, at wholesale or retail, prearranged travel or tourist-related services for individuals or groups, through vacation or tour packages, or through vacation certificates in exchange for a fee, commission or other valuable consideration. The term includes any business entity offering membership in a travel club or travel service for an advance fee or payment, even if no travel contracts or certificates or vacation or tour packages are sold by the business entity.

The Seller of Travel Laws were created to regulate the seller of travel. In many states, these laws are enforced by agencies other than the Attorney General.

As an independent travel agent with TPI*, TPI obtains an approved seller of travel license on four states (Florida, California, Iowa and Washington). As of 2014.11.14 there are not other states that require an approved seller of travel license.

We are easy to get along with. So, here’s just a few things to help us conduct the best service for you.

  1. My Baby Aboard agents can’t start looking for a quote without a contract with you (the client). This contract is typically done via email and it let’s us know you’re wanting to use our services and requires your credit card for secure transactions.
  2. All of My Baby Abroad fee’s will be discussed upfront. We may charge a nominal research fee, which covers our time for pulling together fares, sending a quote and itinerary. This fee may be waved if you (the client) completes your agreed travel.
  3. There may be fee’s that are passed on to you (the client) that come directly from a reservation source, such as a booking fee; ticketing fee; credit card fee; and so forth. When these fee’s are disclosed to My Baby Abroad in advance, they are included in the quote. If these fee’s are discovered after the quote, My Baby Abroad will inform you as soon as possible so you can make the best decision for your travel.
  4. All International travelers are required to have a valid passport good for 6-months past your travel return date.
  5. All clients are required to provide a credit card to secure their reservations.
  6. A simplified cancellation policy will be included in your quote. The complete cancellation policy will be included in the reservation confirmation. Cancellation fee’s are the responsibility of the traveling party. My Baby Abroad is not responsible for any fee’s incurred by their clients including cancellation fees, rebooking fees, late fees, occupancy charges, change fee’s and so forth. If you (the client) requests a service that includes a new fee, this will be disclosed to you prior to making the change.
  7. In order to ensure you wish to move forward with purchasing travel arrangements through My Baby Abroad, we will require a signed contract. This protects My Baby Abroad from any financial liability.
  8. All quotes are time-sensitive and the rates may change, expire, or become sold-out in an event of demand, natural disaster, epidemic, or other reason not in the control of My Baby Abroad. When available, My Baby Abroad will make a temporary hold on any travel services on your behalf, if not available please note that final reservations may reflect the updated price. If the reservation is Not-Cancellable, My Baby Abroad will require your approval prior to processing any quote that was not previously approved. You may provide pre-approval to charge extra’s up to a specific amount to save time.

We take on the research finding you the best options for your travel arrangements. Even when every detail is verified, every “t” is crossed and “i” dotted, there are times when you need assistance. Rest assured, we have a network to help you 24/7 across the globe to ensure you’re never left stranded without a solution.

I have business insurance covered under Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company through TPI.

Complex Claims Process: Navigating the claims process can sometimes be complex and time-consuming, particularly if there’s a dispute about whether an error or omission occurred. I provide excellent customer service and accurate information to the best of what is available to me. Maintaining high standards is crucial to us at My Baby Abroad.
